This is a model of a very atypical VR Type 'G' Country Station, indeed. This is the first of this design series to be constructed entirely of Timber cladding (as opposed to the more commonly used Brick). This version of the design, with the Main Entrance Lobby located slightly off the centre point along it's length is based on the now long demolished example that served the township of Kilmore on the 'cross country' line between Wallan (on the North East Main Line to Albury) and Bendigo (the major regional city on the Northern Main Line that terminates at Swan Hill), about 42 miles/ 68Kilometers from Melbourne. Although the structure is rare, it was, by no means, unique - the other large station on the line - Heatrhcote (available separately by the same author) - was of identical, albeit mirror imaged, construction. Being based on Kilmore, for variety in multiple use throughout any given route, this version of the Type 'G' desigm is provided in the paint scheme that the station wore at the time of it's decomission in 1968 and in line with the rest of the series, as a station building, only, so that platforms and other outbuildings must be sourced elsewhere. The design is based on the 'standard' plans for such stations as issued by the Ways & Works Branch, which are then modified by individual architects when designing any specific station. Because of the arrangement of doors and windows, this asset is NOT provided with any typical VR style nameboards but the excellent alternatives by S301 [103475] should be used to provide a name 'in game'. This asset is intended for use in Trainz version TS2009 or later.
