Trestle new with handrails. Texture updated for TANE.
In 1884-85 the Canadian Pacific Railway was going bankrupt do to the high cost of constructing their transcontinental main line. In order to complete the line as soon and as inexpensively as possible they resorted to constructing wooden trestles in the Rocky and Selkirk Mountains from the readily available timber. Due to the high cost of maintaining these structures and the threat of their destruction by forest fires they were soon replaced. But while they lasted some were the largest and most spectacular structures in the world.
This trestle is a generic model with handrails. It is intended to be used with “Trestle Abutment new with handrails MBC059” kuid:431633:109794. LOD0/LOD1/LOD2 = 1404/914/627 polys. Endcap high/low = 1220/538 polys.
