Use this invisible asset to enable the joining together of NSW double-track and single-track catenary splines. The double-track series is <kuid:368725:30134-30137>. The single-track series is <kuid:368725:30120-30130>.
The asset consists of a buried dummy mesh and four 2m fixed track segments occupied by invisible road splines. Catenary splines may connect to either end of each road spline, however only 1 end of each is correct. Surveyor-only blue arrows are placed at the correct ends as a guide for users.
JUNCTIONS WHERE A SINGLE-TRACK CATENARY SPLINE SPLITS TO BECOME A DOUBLE-TRACK CATENARY SPLINE
Place the interface at the location for the first double-track gantry. With the centre arrows midway between the 2 railway tracks, rotate the interface so that the outer blue arrows point towards the junction. Given that the single-track catenary spline ends at the junction, use either <kuid:368725:30132> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for gently-curving track' or <kuid:368725:30133> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for sharply-curving track' to run from the junction to each of the outer blue arrows of the interface.
CROSSOVERS BETWEEN TRACKS SERVED BY A DOUBLE-TRACK CATENARY SPLINE
Leave a gap in the double-track catenary spline between the junctions of the crossover. Place an interface at each junction and rotate each one so that the outer blue arrows face towards the other junction. Attach each double-track catneary spline to the respective outside centre blue arrow. Use either <kuid:368725:30138> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for gently-curving double track' or <kuid:368725:30139> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for sharply-curving double track' to connect the inside centre blue arrows of each interface. Use either <kuid:368725:30132> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for gently-curving track' or <kuid:368725:30133> 'NSWGR catenary wire spline for sharply-curving track' to make the crossover between diagonally opposing blue arrows.
While the fixed tracks of this asset are occupied by invisible road splines, it has been observed to make unwanted connections with railway track splines. When placing the asset near railway track, hold the SHIFT key down to prevent automatic connections.
