Located in the province of Quebec the beginnings of Daaquam are around 1915.
The village grows through the forest industry. The timber industry was then promoted by the
Quebec Central Railway. The name Daaquam comes from the Daaquam River and means river which
carry a lot of water. The QCRR Daaquam Station was located at milepost 70.0 (from Valee-joncton)
on the chaudiere Subdivision. The small station was destryoyed in the late 80's. Includes
nightmode. It is not passenger enabled (by request).
