This is based on hangar one at the US Naval Station. Sunnyvale, California (Moffet Field).
It was built in the early 1930's to house two U.S.Naval Airships (dirigibles). It is 1133 ft long, 308 ft wide,
and 198 ft tall. It was so large that like the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) at Cape canaveral it generates
its own weather inside (fog). The doors (multi-sections of the orange peel type) weigh 500 tons each and are
moved by 150 HP motors. The floor space inside is over 8 acres and can accomodate 10 football fields. It still
exists today.
